I've been in the wedding industry since 2010 and I've worked with many photographers, planners, caterers and wedding pros. One thing I realize is that many of us are crippled by fear.
I recorded a periscope about fear and it was very popular so I decided to post it on my blog. It's about my fears in the wedding industry and how I messed up, but I didn't let it hold me back. Remember FEAR=False Evidence Appearing Real. Hello Fear, I'm coming for you.

This is why I do what I do. I want to invite you to join my mentoring group on Facebook (mostly for videographers and photographers) so you can be inspired and share your work in a safe and non judgmental environment.
Here is an inbox I received about my Periscope about fear from a new Wedding Planner.
Hi Chip! Wow I just wanted to say that you are truly an inspiration. I just caught your periscope at the last hour. Hour 23 right before it deletes off my feed. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your story about fear! I joined munaluchi recently right before the retreat. I am very new to the wedding industry. My background is predominately in fashion, styling, and art. I love events which is why last year I expanded my brand to event design / event planning. Sorry for the long story ( eeek ) but I just wanted to say your story have really touched me. I was afraid to network and collaborate with some of the members because I Fear that I didn't have a long roster of clients or an extensive portfolio or body of work yet. Everyone seem to be mastering this industry. Im such a perfectionist and how my work is viewed, that I held back in relationship capital because I didn't feel like I added value to the other members as of yet. So moving forward there will be mistakes but I will push through fear!
This song below motivates me through fear. I hope it encourages you.
