The Westin Georgetown is an elegant venue in Washington, D.C. where Cynthia and Cromartie exchanged life-long vows before family and friends. On the morning of the wedding, Cynthia got dressed in the Presidential suite. It had a contemporary feel and was flooded with natural light, great for natural, storytelling photos of the morning.
The couple had elegant gold printed stationery to compliment the color theme.
Wedding Ceremony
Cynthia and Cromartie exchanged vows in the Washington Ballroom at the Westin Georgetown Hotel. Any color scheme would look great in this neutral colored room.
The chandelier added an elegant touch to the oval-shaped ballroom.
Cord of Three Strands
Cynthia and Cromartie had a cord of three strands during their ceremony. I learned that white represents the bride, purple represents the groom, and gold represents god.
Wedding Reception in The Promenade Room
The wedding reception was in the Promenade room. Ivory linen and flowers in ivory and pink were used to decorate the room to match the bridal bouquets. The beautiful flowers were designed and created by Roberta Salcedo from Bella Fiori.
Wedding Portraits
The wedding portraits were in the courtyard, which provided an elegant sandstone backdrop.
I love shooting speeches! There are loads of opportunities during this part of the day to capture natural moments.
The groom’s 95-year-old grandmother got up for a dance. I love capturing moments like this! This photo will be cherished by the family for many years.
